About the Event

Four creative designers virtually open the doors of their studios for a week. They are inviting you to watch them sew, design and create and to join in their practice.

Foje: All I have is all I need

We are all microscopic sample of universe in a shape of humans, trying to evolve and create. Sometimes we get distracted, we tend to consume and deviate, and our actions work in the favor of destroying instead of adapting to this beautiful habitat. Just as what is unfortunately happening to the fashion industry now. Now that the virus has bound us to stay at our houses with our pre-existing assets, we find the opportunity to seek solitude and align with the earth and other species by detoxing our minds closets and hearts maybe we can make some amends through these interactions. This conformity to the nature is only possible with your interaction.

Therefore, trust this process. Take out what is inside your closets, drawers, and storage. Use what you already have in quarantine and social distancing situation whether it be your dresses or secret hidden talents. Whether by hand or with a sewing machine with whatever scissors, thread or needle you have. Cut out pieces of your old clothes and resew them, however you like and your creativity leads you. Share the results with us and we will post them as stories on Instagram to see how this interaction can mend our lost connection to Mother Earth. May we align with her heart again and reconnect.

Interaction, even in this quarantine, brings us closer to our lost connection to our homeland, perhaps its pulse has come back and we are all united.
