COP26 workshop in Glasgow: Upcycling techniques for denim with TOTON and Rejean Denim
Time & Location
About the Event
This event is the first in a trail across Glasgow during COP26 bringing the solutions showcased by nine international designers in response to the COP26 themes of Nature and Adaptation & Resilience to Glasgow.
This workshop will engage guests with Indonesian brand TOTON's upcycling denim technique using fraying to create a new texture and Glasgow-based brand Rejean Studio's patchworking upcycling technique.
You will need:
A piece of denim clothing that you no longer wear and would feel comfortable cutting up and upcycling. Please note we will provide denim offcuts if you do not have a denim piece that you would like to upcycling or repurpose
This event is free to attend but spaces are limited so please only sign up if you are able to attend in person in Glasgow. If you sign up and are unable to attend please cancel your booking so that we can make the place available to someone on the waiting list.
This event is part of a Fashion Open Studio programme in partnership with the British Council's The Climate Connection global programme and campaign. Nine designers from across the world have been selected in response to the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP26 themes of Adaptation and Resilience and Nature.
