About the Event

In partnership with British Textile Biennial

This is an in person event in Blackburn, it is free to attend but with limited tickets due to venue capacity.

Join us for a Fashion Open Studio workshop where we stitch and repair our old garments that need extra care while Rahemur Rahman explains his new patchwork artisanal textiles made from archival production waste from Aranya. We ask guests to bring clothing and domestic textiles you no longer use to patchwork together, other sewing equipment will be provided.

This event is part of a Fashion Open Studio programme in partnership with the British Council's The Climate Connection global programme and campaign. Nine designers from across the world have been selected in response to the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP26 themes of Adaptation and Resilience and Nature.
